A good strong week for Jeff (17 points, 81%) bumps him up a spot (and thus Jacob down one) in the season standings. The only other positive mover on the season was Ben, whose 3rd place finish this week (15 points, 75%) allows him to swap spots with his rhyme-mate, Ken. I hope everyone can see that the top three spots are occupied by the people with the shortest names. Coincidence? I leave you to puzzle that one out.
Looking to next week, Tom would appear to have the trophy locked up, unless of course he fails to submit his picks on time, or an untimely demise should occur. But still up for grabs are the "Friends of the Family" trophy, which Ken will need to work to not lose, with Luke squarely in his rear view mirror. "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear." Ken is also fighting valiantly to hold on to the honor of being the best picker, with Clara and Susan in hot pursuit.
Enjoy the last week of the season, folks! |

| Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread). |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
