As N.O. attempted the extra point to win, a Denver back successfully jumped over the defensive line, and then jumped again to block the kick and knock the ball sideways to a fellow Bronco, who picked it up and ran down the sidelines to the end zone for 2 points. That's a fairly new rule, and the feat had only been done twice before.</div><div><br></div><div>In the Pittsburgh game, Roethlinsberger (hereafter big R) pulled off a good trick late (1:20 left on the clock). After a long pass for a first down, he hurried his team up to the line and was signaling spike. As the ball was snapped, he faked the spike, and everybody on both teams just stood around except one wide receiver and big R threw a pass to the end zone. Pittsburgh took the lead (6th lead change) but the Cowboys came back in the last minute and won it (7th lead change). The last time anyone can remember a fake spike was by Dan Marino over 20 years ago.</div><div><br></div><div>The Patriot game also had 7 lead changes. Should have been a record 8, as the Pats died after three (four?) tries from inside the 2-yard line. </div><div><br></div><div>Long live football!! Dusty</div></div>
