Hi David et al!

The pool is ON! Forgive the delay; I
was late in prepping the site, and awaiting feedback from Beta testers, but
only 50% of them ever responded to me, and she only did so this
afternoon.

In any case, the Rowell Pool is up and running at the
usual location. It's (almost) always a good idea to start at http://pool.tastewar.com as that should
always bring you to the current week's pool pages. Note that I tend to make
the cutover on Tuesday morning. The "button bar" near the top is your best
friend for navigation within the site. Home will bring you to the home page
for the current week; the Last Week/Next Week buttons should take you to the
site for those weeks. Note that the Next Week button will only bring you joy
if you are already looking at a week from the past. It's like a Time Machine,
but it can't actually go into the future. The buttons are smart enough to
cross season boundaries, but only this season and last season have the smarter
buttons. If you go back further than that, the buttons were just hardcoded to
particular pages. The Archive button will bring up a looooooong list of all
the weeks from all the seasons that we have on file. There *were* seasons
prior to those, but at the time I was overwriting the same site every week, so
aside from the trophy, and various peoples' foggy memories, those results are
lost to the sands of time. The Most Important Button, however, is the
Enter My Picks button. You should use that button today or at
least before kickoff of the first, regular season game which is tomorrow
night around 8:30!!!!!! ARE YOU READY FOR SOME
FOOTBALL??!?!?!???!
