With three weeks behind us, and fourteen ahead,
I muster the strength to get out of my bed.
This past weekend's news sent the nation all reeling
Respect for the flag, or the right to be kneeling?
With civilized dialogue a thing of the past,
How long, we may wonder, can this nation last?
I realize now, to my deepest chagrin,
Getting up was an error; think I'll head right back in.
