Oh, and while I doubt anyone but me will appreciate the sheer brilliance of it, the "Next Week" and "Last Week" buttons will keep you on the same relative page as you move between weeks. So, if you were on the Season Standings page, you can go forward and backward in time, looking at Season Standings each week. Or the Detailed Standings page. Or ...

Which reminds me (well, something else reminded me as well), the "home page" for each weekly pool site is *not* the extent of the pool site! There is a Report Links section at the bottom with many more pages you can explore. The Player Summary is a particular favorite around here, sometimes it gets printed out so we can see how people are doing as the week progresses.

Which also reminds me... I try to update the site a number of times during the weekend. Generally Friday morning, then after the early Sunday results come it, then after the afternoon games, then, well, you get the idea. But it doesn't always happen with perfect immediacy.

The web site has been updated with the results of week 1. As a reminder to old members, and new info for new members, the pool's main URL, http://pool.tastewar.com is updated weekly to re-direct to the current week's set of pages. I try to to that, and get the next week's pages ready early(ish...) on Tuesday morning. Note that in the button bar near the top of the pages on the site there are "Next Week" and "Last Week" buttons that will let you navigate back through the season (and even into past seasons!) a week at a time. Note also that future weeks don't exist yet, so if you are on the current week, and press the Next Week button, you will be rewarded with a 404 error. There is also a button labeled Archive which will bring up a big page with links to all the past weeks and seasons that we have online. It doesn't contain everything -- there were years when I was just re-using the main URL every week, and before that, the small group that started did it by email. But those years constitute the pre-historic era, with the only archaeological evidence that remains being the trophy.

Anyway, Week 2 is now ready for your picking pleasure -- please be sure to submit your picks prior to kickoff of the first game of the week, as always!!
