| Week 6: Emma's back on top, much to the delight and chagrin of her grandfather. This week, her 1 point victory over 2nd place Ben, Donna, and Caroline adds 2 points to her lead over Luke on the season standings, widening the gap to an amazing 13 points! All 3 2nd place finishers this week were able to leverage that result into positive movement on the season standings as well, with Ben moving up 1, and Caroline and Donna up 2. The leaderboard seems to be divided into 4 sections currently -- there are 4 of us at the bottom in the mid 50's, 7 folks from the mid 70's to low 80's, Luke and Susan at 90 and 88 respectively, duking it out for 2nd place pretty fiercely, and Emma all lonely at #1. |

Scoring: Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread). Deadlines: It is in your interest to make your picks accurately and get them in on time. Late submissions may be allowed at the discretion of the poolmaster; changes in picks, after the submission deadline, are not allowed. |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
