| Week 2: 2, count 'em, 2 genius picks (tm) go out to Emma this week for the Tennessee over Detroit and Atlanta over Oakland victories. Congrats, Emma! 2 in one week is pretty unusual. Those 2 help propel Emma to 2nd week glory with 18 points, 2 ahead of next best Tom. Nobody did spectacularly with picking this week, with everyone who submitted a sheet getting between 8 and 11 right. Both Emma and Tom move two rungs up the ladder this week to claim first and second respectively; Caroline leaps up 3 to move into 5th place. Luke is the only player who remained unwavering this week, clinging fast to 8th place. |

Scoring: Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread).
Deadlines: It is in your interest to make your picks accurately and get them in on time. Late submissions may be allowed at the discretion of the poolmaster; changes in picks, after the submission deadline, are not allowed. |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
