| Week 15. A great week for David, who comes out on top with a nice 18 point effort, including 6 bonus points. Cole, also, with one more correct pick than David giving him an 81% on the week. Looking at the results throughout the weekend, they moved around quite a bit as interim results were posted. In our couples' contests, Luke and Flo were tied, Ben and Donna were tied, Tom *just* edged out Susan, but Rosa beat the pants off Mark! No particular genius picks this week, although those who went out on a limb and picked against the Pats were handsomely rewarded. And those who watched the game were rewarded with an interesting evening! Cole's performance was sufficient to boost him 5 spots in the season standings; a rarity this time of year. But nice for Susan who now has company in the #3 slot. There is quite a bit of "bunching" in that area of the standings, though, so it could be an interesting final couple of weeks :-) |

Scoring: Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread). Deadlines: It is in your interest to make your picks accurately and get them in on time. Late submissions may be allowed at the discretion of the poolmaster; changes in picks, after the submission deadline, are not allowed. |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
