| News from Week 1: Top of the heap belongs to Tom and Donna this week, though their different approaches show in the detailed standings page. Donna's 75% pick percentage led all, while Tom's 5 bonus points topped that column. Luke also had a moment in the sun, when after the early Sunday games he had at most one wrong pick (I think it was in fact zero), but the late games were unkind to Luke. Clara led the Youth Brigade this week, and Susan made a great comeback late Monday night, clawing her way into a five-way tie for fifth, as one of only three to pick KC, (which pick was causing her much gnashing of teeth as the game began, let me tell you.) |

| Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread). |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
